YouTube cancels the advanced subscription to the accounts that do not meet the user's location. According to reports, if the user uses a virtual network (VPN) to buy YouTube -Premium subscriptions to set a cheaper country, the user may lose his or her subscription. According to the report, many users have found that their subscription is automatically canceled. YouTube is also reportedly emailing users about the cancellation of YouTube Premium on dates specified by the company. When a user resumes membership, YouTube will request a card with the user's current residential address.

Google-owned video streaming platform YouTube's top prices are determined based on purchasing power and consumer preferences, resulting in prices that vary around the world. Users use this price difference to subscribe to places that offer premium subscriptions at lower prices. Premium services do not require a VPN when subscribing using this method. YouTube spokesman Paul Pennington told US tech news website The Verge that the company has systems in place to track a user's location. YouTube requires users to change their subscription billing information to their current location and subscribe using their country's payment method so that prices can also be charged by region.

In an effort to encourage more users to buy premium subscriptions, YouTube has cracked down on users who find vulnerabilities in its systems and use deceptive tactics. A few days ago, YouTube users also started experiencing buffering issues and saw errors when using third-party ad blockers. YouTube says using ad blockers violates its terms of service.
