Featuring a unique built-in tracking module compatible with Apple's Find My network and a traditional dual design, the Geo Wallet ESR allows you to use your iPhone to find it if you lose it, without needing to insert an AirTag bulge inside.
While there are plenty of wallets designed to accommodate credit card-sized trackers like AirTags and Chipolo, the Dual Geo Wallet, which uses a unique tracking module with a rechargeable lithium battery that's just 1.6 millimeters thick, offers the same functionality while still having enough space inside for a few more cards. The interior of the Geo Wallet features nine slots for cards, including two windowed slots for ID cards, a pocket for 10 bills, and space for coins. It's made from vegan leather with a layer of RFID-blocking material and is available in seven colors: Carbon Fiber, Twilight Black, Cocoa, Opal Grey, Aged Leather, Tangerine, and Elephant Grey. The battery in the Geo Wallet's tracking module is half the thickness of the replaceable CR2032 coin cell used in AirTags. ESR claims this thin battery can power the tracker for five months on just a two-hour charge, while Apple claims the AirTags' new battery can run for up to a year. Five months of use is long enough to make charging a breeze, but to keep the Geo Wallet slim, ESR opted for its own magnetic charging cable. This is another cable you don't want to lose, as you won't be able to find this essential accessory while using your smartphone.
ESR is making the Geo Wallet available through a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, which has already exceeded its funding goal of $12,809. Early bird backers can preorder one for $41, while the wallet is expected to sell for closer to $55 after the crowdfunding campaign is over.
There’s always the risk that crowdfunded products won’t deliver the features and functionality promised — or anything at all. But there are fewer risks here. ESR is an established brand that has previously provided similar Find My compatible wallets. Rather than breaking new ground, Geo Wallet is a more subtle solution to Apple's tracking hardware, still leveraging Find My's vast network to increase the chances of it being found if lost.
