Google's Meet app is adding some features specifically for calls. Meet is a Duo video calling app launched by Google a few years ago for conducting meetings and personal video calls. The update, which will roll out over the coming months, focuses on the personal side. It offers an updated user interface and features like in-call notifications, things that were previously only available in meetings.
With this latest update, the calling user interface will look more like the meeting interface, and the call controls will be easier to use. Call messages are now supported so you can share links and rude comments while on mute if you want. Emoji reaction will also be given to the group's call.
We are not excited about the face of 2020. For this purpose, Google updates the mobile application interface to provide an increasing audio experience. The company also claims that you can easily switch your phone from your computer to Android phones or tablets.
This update is one more step in the slow, unsteady rollout of the combined Duo and Meet experience. The new version is rolling out slowly, and everyone on your call will need to be running the updated app version to use the new features. It may take a minute to see these new features.
