    Gmail smartphone app adds email summarising feature, powered by Gemini: Report

    Google's Gmail app is introducing a new feature called "Summarize" that condenses long conversations and provides summaries and highlights to save time.

    Google's email client Gmail is getting a suite of artificial intelligence features. In summary, this email is a new feature in the Gmail app for Android and iOS. This feature is currently only available to paid users. The feature is said to condense long conversations and provide users with summaries and highlights to save time.

    The launch of this feature was announced in a Google Workspace update post. Summarize is in general release on Android and iOS and will be fully available in the coming weeks. Below the subject line, you will see a "Collect this email" button provided by Gemini. Pressing the button, after a few seconds, the ball point and the highlighted leaves glide. There is no place at the bottom of the page to enter the prompt or ask to follow, but it may change after the Gmail Q&A launch. The table is expandable and users can drag down to view the latest summary. Users can copy the summary provided and rate the summary based on whether they find it useful. Gmail has previously had a similar feature called "Help me write ".

    Google will also introduce Gmail Q&A and contextual smart answer. Recently, Gmail had rolled Gemini side panels for Google Workspace users with Gemini Business and Enterprise addition, Geminu Education and Education Premium addition, or Google One AI Premium subscription. The Gemini -Side Panel, powered by 1.5 Pro, web gmail, collects E -Past thread, helps prepare E -Past, submit answers to E -Pasta thread and ask questions and find information from E -Pasta inbox and files in Google Disk.
