YouTube is introducing a new level of subscription, offering free access to Subcaisses and music content recommendations.

YouTube is reportedly preparing to launch a new, lower-priced "Premium Lite" subscription tier in the United States, Australia, Germany, and Thailand, according to Bloomberg. This new tier will offer ad-free access to YouTube's podcasts and how-to videos, catering to users who primarily watch non-music content. However, the exact pricing remains unknown.

YouTube has previously tested Premium Lite in some international markets, but this marks the first official rollout. Currently, YouTube Premium costs $13.99 per month in the U.S. and provides ad-free viewing across all videos, including music content. The introduction of this cheaper subscription comes as competition intensifies among streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts, all vying to dominate the podcast market.
