Apple has officially canceled the Home button with the launch of the iPhone 16E, a $599 device that replaces Touch ID with Face ID and introduces the A18 chip with Apple Intelligence support. Inspired by the iPhone 14 design, the 16E features a 6.06-inch OLED display with a notch for face ID and comes with black and white options.Â
Based on the same A18 chipset as the iPhone 16, the 16E supports Apple Intelligence. This is probably 8 GB of RAM as the minimum requirement for AI-based features, such as notification resumes. The base model starts with 128 GB of storage, except for the previous option 64 GB. He wirelessly supports Qi at 7.5 watts, but lacks Magsafe and has a quick load of 25 watts. The device includes a 48MP rear camera, configuration action buttons and a USB-C port, replacing the Lightning connector.Â
In particular, the iPhone 16th is the first iPhone to present a modem designed by Apple, moving away from Qualcomm components. Pre -orders start on February 23, with expeditions from February 28. Marking the official end of the era of the "House" button, the iPhone 16th offers a balance between accessibility and modern functions, overcoming the gap between the budget and the flagship iPhone.
