Oppo’s new foldable can remote control a Mac

OPPO, an Android phone, has launched its Find N5 with a transparent connection to Mac for file transfer and remote control.

OPPO was launched on the Find N5, the thinnest folding phone in book style. Exceptional features: Transparent connection to MAC for file transfer and remote control. This is not the first Android phone to have this opportunity, but it is the only one that is available outside of China.

Using the OPP Application O Plus Connect of the OPPO (accessible on the OPPO website), Mac users can display and transfer files from looking for N5, when the two devices are in the same network Wi-Fi-minor compared to the traditionally awkwardly clumsily exchange of wired files between Android and MacOS.

The phone also supports the MacOS remote control, allowing users to reflect their Mac screen on N5 search. This works via the Internet, even when the devices are not on the same network. The lower half of the phone can function as a keyboard, trackpad (with multi -quality gestures) or on the mouse screen for mac navigation. However, experience is still limited because macOS are not optimized for touch, and an occasional lag can make it unreliable for intensive use.

The file sharing function is an extension of the existing OPPO tool for iPhones and iPads, which was launched last year. While Vivo introduced a similar functionality in 2024, it remains exclusive to China, making the global deployment of Oppo a first. Oppo plans to extend these features to more devices, although it is not clear if it includes the OnePlus handsets in the United States.
