According to the Mark German de Bloomberg report, Apple offers ai siri overhaul. According to reports, the assistant is called the "LLM Siri" and operates with the Apple Ais model, enabling users to conversational and natural interactions with Siri.
Apple will improve Siri's ability to handle more complex tasks as part of its plan to equip the iPhone with artificial intelligence. The assistant will have "enhanced" capabilities to interact with third-party apps using App Intents and use Apple Intelligence for summarizing and writing text. Apple could announce these plans as early as next year, but the company plans to replace its core Siri software with the new system in spring 2026, Bloomberg reported. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal last month, Apple's senior vice president of software Craig Federighi hinted at how an AI-enhanced Siri will differ from ChatGPT.
Apple has been fairly slow to adopt AI so far, with the company only adding ChatGPT integration to Siri as part of the iOS 18.2 beta last month. The company is also offering several other features for Siri, including the ability for Siri to "understand" what's on the screen and take actions within apps, which will arrive next year.
