Samsung has launched the latest version of its BioActive sensor, enhancing the next-generation Galaxy Watch's health monitoring experience.

Samsung has promoted digital hygiene innovation to provide more influential and streamlined health experiences through summaries and indicators to help simplify health and health. This method first improves access to simple and accurate health tracking through Samsung's biological active sensor. To further this mission, Samsung has once again raised the bar and launched the latest version of its BioActive sensor. In addition to more accurate health measurements, the next-generation Galaxy Watch will feature new sensors to provide advanced predictive and preventative health features never before seen in wearables.

    Samsung launches new BioActive sensor

The new BioActive sensor is key to bringing you a better preventative health experience on the next-generation Galaxy Watch with design improvements that allow for more accurate health insights. Samsung engineers focused on three innovations for the new sensor: improving the performance of the light-sensing photodiodes, adding additional colors to the light-emitting diodes (LEDs), and optimally arranging them in the sensor.

Samsung more than doubled the performance of each photodiode, successfully reducing the power from eight to four. This redesign freed up extra space to integrate a larger number and more different LEDs and ensured their optimal placement across the sensor. The new sensor now includes blue, yellow, violet and ultraviolet LEDs in addition to an increased number of green, red and infrared LEDs. With the integration and arrangement of these LEDs, photodiodes and custom-designed photodiodes, Samsung takes innovation a step further and is now able to pursue unexplored aspects of health monitoring on wearables. Bringing greater precision and new opportunities to preventive health

The optimal distribution of green, red and infrared LEDs sets new standards in wearable technology, increasing accuracy and providing excellent performance in various health indicators. This allows the new BioActive sensors to more accurately measure health indicators such as heart rate, sleep quality, blood pressure, 2 blood oxygen levels and stress levels.

The more diverse colors of LEDs and newly designed photodiodes unlock new possibilities and empower you to better predict trends and take proactive steps for preventative care. The first of these features will be an advanced glycation end products (AGEs) index4 — an indicator of metabolic health and biological aging strongly influenced by overall lifestyle and dietary habits. As an insightful biomarker, the index provides a snapshot of your biological age to help you make more informed decisions about your health journey and work toward a healthier future. The addition of the AGEs index is just one of many new and advanced features planned for the next-generation Galaxy Watch. The next-generation Galaxy Watch will offer more advanced and intelligent health and wellness tools to help you achieve your goals. We can't wait to show you more!
