Microsoft relaunches Copilot for business, offering free AI chat and pay as you go agents

Microsoft uses the new name Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat to restart your free business AI tool designed to be familiar with AI at work and seduce them to upgrade to a full Microsoft 365 copilot experience with $ 30 per month. The changed tools introduce the AI ​​agent as part of a chat in the AI ​​agent. 

“It’s free and secure AI chat powered by GPT,” Jared Spataro, head of marketing for Microsoft AI at Work, told , with the company claiming that it outperforms even free chat on Google Gemini. The Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat is based on the Bing Chat Enterprise, which was previously redirected to a co -mocked. The inclusion of AI agents allows users to carry out improved tasks such as E -Past Inculcation Supervision or Automation of Workflow directly in the chat interface. Businesses can create and deploy these agents using Copilot Studio, leveraging both web data and organizational data through the Microsoft Graph.

The service offers flexible pricing for AI agent access via pay-as-you-go options or consumption packs managed through Azure’s Copilot Studio meter. "The first question people ask me is, 'Did I write you a bad check?'" Spataro said, explaining that Microsoft has built-in safeguards to control costs. Companies can use an open payment model or limit usage by using pre-purchased consumables. Despite the challenging brand journey, Copilot Chat has gained popularity among organizations that rely on Microsoft software. 

Spataro noted that users quickly recognized the tool's value in professional environments. "We found that once you start using it, you get used to it and appreciate the value it brings to your work," he explains. While Microsoft is still scrutinizing the value of its $30-a-month premium subscription, the company hopes the success of Copilot Chat will lead more companies to embrace its AI ecosystem.
