Apple announced a smarter, AI-enhanced version of Siri at WWDC in June, but a new report says users won't be able to use it on their devices until 2025. The new Siri will launch next spring as part of the iOS 18.4 update, but developer beta testing will begin in January 2025, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.
Apple Intelligence, Apple's broader suite of artificial intelligence features announced for iPhone and iPad, will launch with iPhone 16 and iOS 18 this fall. Mistakes, remembering previous conversations, interrupting meetings—all these are to be expected. An upcoming artificial intelligence feature for Siri this fall is integration with OpenAI's ChatGPT smart assistant, Gurman said.
