Spotify is partnering with ElevenLabs to expand its AI-related audiobook collection.

Spotify will expand its AI-related audiobook collection with a new partnership with ElevenLabs. On Thursday, the streaming company announced it would begin accepting audiobooks recorded using AI Voice ElevenLabs technology, recognizing the potential for developing the audio market. The AI AID books are already authorized on Spotify, but with certain restrictions.

Its distribution platform, FindaWay Voices, only accepts digitally narrated audio books from Select Partners, including Google Play Books, and each recording must take a criticism before the publication. With ElevenLabs being a well-known AI voice provider, its involvement could lead to a rise in synthetic audiobook content on Spotify.

Authors can use ElevenLabs to create audiobooks in 29 languages, with a variety of synthetic voices available. The free version only offers 10 minutes of text per month, but the premium plain offers more flexibility. Pro Proppring can generate up to 500 minutes of stories with average audiobook distances at a price of $99 per month.

Spotify says that human accounts remain valuable, but it sees digital voice as an economically effective solution for independent authors and a way to revive old and lost books. To ensure transparency, all audiobooks linked to AI will be marked with a declaration of denial of responsibility in the metadata and book description. "This audio video is transmitted through digital audio."
