WhatsApp is developing a personalised AI picture generator

WhatsApp is introducing creative AI features to its platform, allowing users to create AI-powered avatars in any environment imaginable.

WABetaInfo spotted the feature in the new WhatsApp Beta Android 2.24.14.13 update, and according to The Verge , the feature uses a combination of images, text prompts, and the Meta AI Llama model to create images. "Take a picture of yourself once and imagine yourself in any environment from a forest to outer space," the WhatsApp screenshot reads. It works in Meta AI chat: users can type "Imagine in..." or "@Meta AI Imagine me..." as a text prompt. Then use the user's similarity to generate personalized images.

WhatsApp has also recently launched customized stickers in the application. This sticker can be made in a few seconds and has been developed for several months of AI chat. With this upcoming feature, Meta's focus on both AI and app creativity seems far from diminished.
