Telegram has introduced Stars, a digital currency, to pay for content and convert them into Toncoin, a cryptocurrency used on the TON blockchain.

Telegram last month introduced a digital currency called Stars for use in the app. Now the company is expanding use cases to pay for content. The chat app also allows channels to convert the stars they own into Toncoin – the cryptocurrency used by Telegram on the Open Network (TON) blockchain. Or, they can use them to get discounts on channel promotions. The company originally launched Stars to pay for digital goods offered by bots and apps on Telegram. Creators can now publish content that users can unlock with stars. The app also allows channel owners to withdraw stars and convert them to Toncoin using the Fragment platform. If you have Toncoin, you can trade crypto through various exchanges and transfer money to your bank account. In particular, Telegarm has used the portal to auction usernames using the TON blockchain.

Alternatively, channel owners can use stars to receive advertising discounts for promoting their channel. With your latest update, the mini application bar is also added to the Telegram at the bottom to allow users to quickly access mini applications without pulling them out.

The company also added some new methods to users to discover stories. Now they can use the name label to view all the public stories of the name. The application allowed you to look for your chat and messages in public channels. Also, users can now add a location tag to their stories, and users can click on the tag to see all public stories from the same location.
