Ahead of the PS5 Pro's launch this week, we've seen some more official specs for the most powerful version of the PS5 to date. Digital Foundry has shared details from the manual that came with its PS5 Pro review unit, confirming that the console is powered by an 8-core/16-thread AMD Ryzen Zen 2 processor and an RDNA based graphics engine that offers 16.7 TF of GPU processing power, compared to 10.23 TF for the base PS5. As we reported in March, earlier leaked documents indicated the PS5 Pro's numbers were much higher, primarily due to AMD's RDNA architecture changes.
The guide also states that in addition to 16GB of GDDR6 memory, the PS5 Pro will have 2GB of slower DDR5 memory for handling non-gaming tasks, as well as a dedicated 2TB SSD. At 390W, its maximum power draw will also be higher than the 340W used by the slim and regular versions of the PS5 Digital Edition, but the console won't draw as much power at all times.
In a post published today on the official PlayStation Blog, Sony also revealed a list of 55 games that will get PS5 Pro enhancements when the $699.99 console goes on sale on November 7. The list includes several titles already revealed to be getting updates but adds several others, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Star Wars: Outlaws.
