Serious players can be very noisy than mice in terms of performance, comfort and reliability. A very large game mouse requires excellent wireless performance, low delay, control, low weight, and transparent synchronization with players' movements. To meet this need, Logitech developed the new G309 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse, a premium mouse with six programmable buttons and a wheel, dual wireless connectivity, a 25K tracking sensor, and a new ergonomic shape.
The G309 Lightspeed Mouse features Logitech's flagship technologies, including the company's HERO 25K sensor, compatibility with Logitech Powerplay technology and Lightspeed wireless connectivity -- all in a new, more affordable mouse. The G309 Lightspeed can be used with or without AA batteries. Logitech G's optional PowerPlay wireless charging system allows you to remove the 18g AA battery, making the G309 even lighter and more agile. This new gaming mouse features a power-efficient HERO 25K DPI sensor. A single AA battery can power the G309 for over 300 hours at a 1ms report rate. Switching the connection mode from Lightspeed to standard Bluetooth doubles the G309's battery life to over 600 hours. For all its innovative technology, the Logitech G309 Lightspeed is neither particularly heavy nor bulky.
The G309 weighs just 86g with the battery installed. When using PowerPlay, the battery can be removed, reducing the weight to 68g. Lightspeed wireless technology is perfect for performance gamers, making the G309 faster than most wired mice. Combining Lightspeed with Logitech's HERO 25K G-sensor, the G309 delivers up to 25,600 DPI resolution with no acceleration or smoothing. Lightspeed can connect two devices to one receiver using the G Hub device pairing tool, allowing gamers to use the G309 Lightspeed mouse on the same receiver with Logitech gaming keyboards, including the recently released Logitech G515 TKL Lightspeed gaming keyboard.
The G309 has hybrid optical-mechanical switches which are fast, reliable and precise. These Lightforce switches use galvanic contact parts that work like mechanical switches to give satisfyingly tactile feedback. The optical and mechanical triggers used in the switches are reliable and feature ultra-low latency optical actuation.
