The Galaxy S24 Ultra has been around for almost six months, but Samsung is still making significant camera optimizations to eliminate distortion and fine-tune performance. Now, a new report suggests that the company is set to roll out another batch of camera improvements in the August update. However, key issues are likely to remain unresolved for now.
According to perennial tipster Ice Universe, Samsung's next software update has "improved a lot" of camera features, including the following improvements:
- White balance optimization
- HDR optimization
- Overprocessing optimization
- Overexposure optimization
- Facial optimization
- Video zoom optimization
The leaker also notes that there is still no fix for perceived "telephoto and night mode issues above 10x", suggesting that further camera fixes remain in the pipeline. These updates will no doubt bring welcome relief to those affected by camera issues with the Galaxy s24 Ultra. But while Samsung deserves credit for its commitment to continually improving its cameras, the comments on Ice Universe's post reveal the level of frustration among Samsung users who believe the company is taking too long to address the underlying issues.
