Apple's rumoured Mac Mini makeover may remove the USB-A connection

The next Mac mini Apple will lack a USB-A port, but will still have five USB-C ports, an ethernet port, an HDMI port, and a headphone jack.

Apple TV size Mac mini can compromise on connection. According to the Mark Broomberg, there is no USB-A port in the next Mac mini Apple. MarkBloomberg writes in a newsletter that a new office computer has begun to hit Apple in September. He wrote a higher version with the Apple M4 Pro chip in October.

The version with an M4 Pro will still cram a lot of ports, including five USB-C ports (two in the front and three in the back), an ethernet port, an HDMI port, and a headphone jack, according to Gurman’s sources. And the new Mac Mini will apparently have an internal power supply. It is not too shabby for a computer that should be the size of an Apple TV.

Is it time to say goodbye to USB-A? Maybe. Probably. But by any standards, it’s time for something new to happen with Apple’s oldest computer model, the Mac Mini, and as Chris Welch explained earlier this month, the situation is the same for the 2012 and 2023 assessments. (He did not emphasize the first version of the current design of Mac mini.
