Apple is working on a second-generation Vision Pro 2 model, AR glasses, and a more straightforward, less expensive version of the Vision Pro headset in order to expand its mixed-reality technology .

Apple is reportedly changing its strategy for its Vision Pro headset, which debuted in June 2023. Originally touted as a revolutionary device capable of replacing both smartphones and computers while providing customized immersive and virtual environments, the The Vision Pro faced challenges, including a high price tag of $3,499 (approx. Rs. 2,92,200) and various reported issues.

In response, Apple is now reportedly planning to use more methods to improve the promotion of its hybrid headphones. According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the Apple Vision team appreciated their strategy and decided to develop several new equipment at different prices, rather than focusing on one leading product. Citing unnamed sources familiar with the discussions, the report outlines plans for two new versions of the headset, as well as a successor to the Vision Pro.

The first new version is expected to be a scaled-down version of the Vision Pro with fewer features and a more affordable price tag between $1,500 (Rs 125,300 approx) and $2,000 (Rs 167,000 approx). The more affordable model, known internally as Apple Vision and codenamed N107, is likely to launch in late 2025. Going forward, Apple is also working on developing augmented reality (AR) glasses that are designed to be lightweight and look like traditional sunglasses. The product is still under wraps and is tentatively scheduled for release in 2027.

In addition, Apple develops a second generation visual Pro, called Vision Pro 2 and Codedamed N109. The successor is expected to be equipped with faster processors, improved external cameras and easier and more convenient design. By expanding its product range, Apple's goal is to solve the hybrid that receives visual professionals and to make the larger attractive groups more attractive and accessible.
