WhatsApp is reportedly working on a feature that will allow users to pin channels for easy access, according to leaked information from the feature tracker.
The option to add up to two channels at the top of the list was seen in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android, but it may not be available to all beta testers. Currently, the stable version of the instant messaging platform does not have the ability to pin your favorite channels to the top of the window. However, it is said that this feature may be included in the future update of WhatsApp for Android.
Pin WhatsApp Channels
According to the Tracker Wabetainfos, Yuan advertised messaging service, Android 2.24.13.3 Use to solve two channels with two channels using WhatsApp Beta. When the function is enabled, the user can touch and save the two channels in the list, and then click on the pin icon from the upper beam, such as a screenshot on the Wabetainfo leak screen.
Function trackers speculate that this feature can enhance navigation experience by ensuring that it has easy access to accessible access. Like pinned conversations, these channels can also be opened without scrolling through the entire list.
The ability to pin multiple WhatsApp channels is reportedly currently available to beta testers who install WhatsApp beta Android 2.24.13.3 via the Google Play Store beta program. The Gadgets 360 staff wasn't able to test the feature in the latest beta, but it may still be rolling out to testers gradually.
The update is also expected to bring the ability to select multiple WhatsApp channels for many actions like pinning channels, marking status as read or muting. For people who subscribe to multiple channels, this can make channel management easier, which can be an advantage.
WhatsApp to Offer Better Privacy Control Over Status Updates
A feature tracker previously claimed that WhatsApp for Android may also be testing another feature that promises better control over the privacy of status updates.
It allows users to quickly target an audience before sharing status updates through a new status protection confirmation window. Users may encounter two options while sharing status updates: All contacts and Specific contacts. It is speculated to also offer the ability to exclude certain people from viewing the status updates.
