The Fortnite Festival, the popular rock band inspired by the game, introduces local multi -player up to four players on the PlayStation and Xbox from January 14th. This update allows players to enjoy sitting together on the same screen by returning the personal group session for nostalgic entertainment.
Previously, Fortnite Festival multiplayer was limited to online play, but the new feature allows players to connect locally. There is one notable limitation, however: only certain Rock Band guitar controllers are supported. Players on vocals or drums will need to use a standard controller for now.
Epic Games has yet to announce plans to add drum kit or microphone compatibility, and the company has not responded to questions about potential updates to these features. The local multiplayer mode is launching alongside Fortnite Festival Season 7, which is rumored to star virtual pop star Hatsune Miku. Epic has been teasing her arrival, sparking excitement among fans who are eagerly awaiting her potential Fortnite debut.
